Introducing The Geo-Zon WordPress Plug-in:
The Geo-Zon WordPress plug-in will allow you to geo-target your visitors and automatically show them Amazon listings from their Amazon program. This way you'll never again have to worry about losing commissions because a visitor from the UK clicked a Amazon US listing. Or because a visitor from the US clicked on a Amazon CA listing. Plus, you can show completely different ads to visitors in countries Amazon doesn't sell to. How to Install Geo-Zon
Installing Geo-Zon is a two step process.
1) First, download and include the free ip2nation database on your site's WordPress mySQL database.
- Download the database from http://www.ip2nation.com/ip2nation/Download.
- Unzip the ip2nation.sql file and save it to your desktop.
- Now sign-on to your site's CPanel and select phpMyAdmin.
- Select the mySQL database used for your WordPress installation.
- Click "Import," then select the ip2nation.sql file you extracted to your desktop.
- Click the "Go" button and wait for the import to complete.
- Close out your phpMyAdmin and exit your CPanel.
2) Second, upload and activate the Geo-Zon plug-in on your site.
- Download the Geo-Zon zip file from the secure download link in your purchase thank you page or from your email purchase receipt.
- Unzip the file to your PC.
- FTP the geo-zon folder to your WordPress /wp-content/plugins/ folder.
- Note: Do Not use the WordPress plug-in install utility. FTP your files to the server.
- Go to your WordPress Admin and activate the Geo-Zon plug-in.
How to Use Geo-Zon in Posts and Pages
Using Geo-Zon in your pages and posts is straight forward. You simply enclose the WordPress content you want to geo-target within the special Geo-Zon short-code tags.
[geo-zon code="us, uk, ca" display="1"]Content.[/geo-zon]
In the opening geo-zon code, simply add the countries you want to work with between quotes and separated by a comma after each country. In the example above, display="1" tells geo-zon that only visitors in the countries listed are allowed to view the content. If you use display="0", geo-zon will allow visitors from any country EXCEPT the ones listed to view the content.
"Content" can be any content you could normally place on a WordPress page or post; Text, HTML, JavaScript, ect.
How To Use Geo-Zon In a Sidebar Widget
Normally, to display a Amazon widget, or a AdSense block, or just about any other type of affiliate code in your sidebar, you would activate a "text" widget and place your affiliate code inside it. Using Geo-Zon along with your sidebar text widget requires you to enter php code before and after your normal affiliate code. To use php code in a text widget, you must download, install and activate the Exec-PHP WordPress plug-in.
Now, in your text widget, simply precede any content you want to geo-target with the following two lines of php code to start Geo-Zon.

The variables are the same as in the Geo-Zon short-code.
